More adventures in Costa Rica!

Hello again!

Yesterday we went whitewater rafting on the Savegre River.  We did class II & III rapids.  It was pretty constant "bumps" - super fun!  Joni, Kathy and James were in one raft with Luis.  Carsten, Paul, Linda and I were rafting with Antony.  They were great guides!

The rapids were super fun - Carsten and I were in the front and there were several times when we were completely submerged!

There was one stop along the way for a little hike to a waterfall and a snack.

It was about an hour drive to the put-in spot.  The guides stopped a few times to show us certain plants along the way.  We were in the back of a Land Cruiser along the sides facing in.  It was a bit weird but we got there.

Today we split up, Carsten and James went fishing again.  The rest of us hit the beach.

They had better luck fishing today, catching 3 Rooster Fish, the biggest was 37 inches!  That is a big fish!

Meanwhile, at the beach - it was happy hour!

It was a very nice beach.   The waves were pretty big - knocking us down a few times.  Nothing we could not handle!

This is the view from the house and another visit from the local - the other day he, or one of his friends, left a pile of poop on the stairs inside the house.  The house is open to the outside..... somewhat obviously....

We are certainly all sleeping well - not much nightlife for us!  We are tired after our adventures every day.

Take care,

Sheri & Carsten
